雖老心猶健
昨日山水遊

Though lazy,
I am still responsive;
Though old,
My heart is still strong.
Yesterday I rejoiced in a revel among the mountains;
This morning in a festival of wine and flowers.
Azaleas on the mountain
Were beautiful as fire;
Petals of jade-like blossoms
Shimmered as scattered hail.
In the twinkling of a moment
Glory and decline
Shift from one to the other.
Heat and cold
Follow each other in sequence.
I have not yet discarded
My cotton bedding,
While I am already using
My grass-reed door,
Enjoying men and things,
Able to meet them face to face
As year follows year.
